What a month it has been. Market Place is feeling proud after finishing off our Independent Retailer Month campaign. It has been a full month dedicated to celebrating the fantastic local businesses that help make our centre what it is. Throughout July, we gave our independents the spotlight and invited shoppers to get involved and show their support. And you really did with 682 votes!
This campaign was all about celebrating the brilliant independent shops and businesses at Market Place. From long-standing local favourites to exciting new faces, each of them brings something special to the centre. We wanted to give them the recognition they deserve and give you the chance to vote for the ones you love most.
“This campaign gave our independents a chance to really shine,” said Dave Pearman, Centre Manager at Market Place Bolton. “They have got such great stories and are full of passion for what they do. It has been brilliant sharing that with our visitors. The response from the local community has been fantastic.”
Throughout July, we shared each business’s story across our social media, showcasing why they started and what keeps them going. It was a great way for people to get to know the faces behind the shop fronts and discover something new along the way.
A huge thank you to all the independent businesses who got involved and to everyone who voted, shared a post, or came along to show support. You helped make this campaign a real success.
